SplendoFit is a collaboration between Duke University, Erasmus University and Splendo Consulting.

Luc Demarteau is able to motivate his employees to develop cutting edge technologies for several industries. Moreover, he coordinates these innovative projects with a multidisciplinary vision. Currently AI has his primary focus. Luc holds a master of science degree in business administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Jeroen Molinger is responsible for the (patho)fysiological part of the product development and research. He is connected to the ICU department of Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, and Dutch center for Health and Weight. In addition, Jeroen is connected to the Department of Anaesthesia / Center for Perioperative Organ Protection (CPOP) at Duke MC.

Dr. John Whittle is an assistant professor of anesthesiology and is a member of the General, Vascular, and Transplant Division in addition to Critical Care at Duke. His research interests are in perioperative optimization, including prehabilitation, as well as autonomic dysfunction.

SplendoFit partnered with several hardware and sensor manufacturers.

History

Splendo has a long history in connected apps, specifically the area of Life Sciences. Splendo participated in the Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE, an international technology contest for development of a small wearable medical multi-diagnostic device. For this contest, Splendo collaborated with medical professionals, researchers and technical partners from several countries.
